The Full Story
Meet Sophie

And before anybody asks — yes, she is as sweet as she looks.
Sophie was pulled from the shelter after what appears to have been a horrific injury. We don’t know if she was hit by a car or intentionally hurt, but her leg was broken long ago and never treated. The bone has now fused together incorrectly, leaving her permanently struggling to walk.
And yet…
This beautiful girl still runs.
She still plays.
She still wags her tail and trusts people anyway.
That’s the part that gets me.
The veterinarian has confirmed the only real option left for Sophie is amputation. The damaged leg cannot be repaired, and removing it will finally give her relief and a chance to move comfortably without dragging around a painful limb that no longer works.
The surgery will cost approximately $2,000.
We are asking for help because Sophie deserves more than survival. She deserves comfort. She deserves freedom. She deserves to run without pain for the first time in a very long time.
And if you know Great Pyrenees… you know they are gentle giants with hearts bigger than most humans.
Every single dollar helps Sophie get closer to surgery.

Because honestly? The fact that she’s still loving life after what she’s been through says she’s pretty special.
