Ruby Rose

📍 Adopted January 18, 2025 | Now living the good life in the Northeast
📦 Intake Date: September 1, 2024

Her Story:
Ruby Rose came to us from the home of a once-dedicated breeder whose health had sadly declined to the point where she could no longer care for her beloved dogs. Though she had once given them love and attention, time and physical limitations left her unable to walk them, let them outside safely, or keep up with their needs. The dogs had become isolated, kept indoors in crates without the ability to run, stretch, or socialize.

We took in Ruby and her siblings on September 1st, 2024. These dogs had never truly experienced the world outside their home. Ruby was shy, unsure, and completely unfamiliar with the human world beyond the one person they had always known.

But the moment Ruby stepped out into the open air and felt the earth under her feet, something shifted. The fear began to fade. She ran. She explored. And for the first time in her life, she started becoming the dog she was always meant to be.

On January 18th, 2025, Ruby Rose found her forever family. Now living in the Northeast, she’s finally free from the Southern heat and living her best life—lounging on beds, enjoying cool weather, and soaking in the love of a family that treasures her.

From confined and forgotten to free and adored—Ruby’s story is one of quiet resilience and a future rewritten.

Lacey Marie

📦 Rescued from a high-kill shelter | Given 2 weeks to live... now thriving 2 years later

Her Story:
Lacey Marie—originally known as Peggy—was found wandering the streets of Birmingham, Alabama, completely blind and heartbreakingly alone. At 16 years old, she was dumped at a high-kill shelter, barely clinging to life. When our director found her, she looked more like a forgotten rag doll than a dog. The vet gave her two weeks to live.

But Lacey had other plans.

After being rescued by No Greater Love, she was given a soft bed and a second chance. She began to flourish with love and care, defying the odds one day at a time.

Now, two years later, Lacey Marie is living her best life. She’s spoiled, safe, and deeply loved in her forever home in Alabama. Her favorite pastimes? Cuddling with her lamb toy, bossing her humans around, and proving every single day that age and blindness don’t define her—heart does.

She didn’t just survive. She claimed her throne.

Oliver

📍 Adopted to the Northeast | Still thriving 3 years later
📦 Born to an unwanted mother, raised by compassion

His Story:
Oliver wasn’t supposed to exist.
His mama was one of the countless unspayed dogs left to fend for herself in a neighborhood where no one wanted her. But then, something rare happened: a kind man showed up.

He had temporarily moved in to care for his elderly mother—and when he saw this pregnant dog wandering the streets, he didn’t turn away. He took her in. Fed her. Sheltered her. Gave her pups a chance.

That’s how Oliver entered the world—not planned, not asked for, but rescued before he even had a name.

No Greater Love Rescue stepped in to help the whole litter, and Oliver was soon on his way to a new life. Fast forward three years, and this chocolate lab is thriving in the Northeast—healthy, happy, and living like he invented joy.

From unwanted to unforgettable, Oliver is proof that one act of kindness can change everything.
